It’s a great Pulp Saturday here in Columbus, Ohio. PULPFEST is underway. Picked up all kinds of fun stuff but this September 1939 Startling Stories is my favorite. Weird aliens rob graves in 2039, carrying away perfectly preserved beauties in glowing glass coffins. What’s that about? Startling Stories didn’t know either and invited readers to submit explanations. First prize was $25 ($412 in today’s cash). Might have to find the next issue to see what the readers came up with.
